Save Our Nations, Inc. is a NJ nonprofit founded in 2015 by Michael Gray to support young people in Africa and the African Diaspora who have been orphaned as a result of fatal diseases such as Ebola.
Michael Gray is a Political Activist and Liberian civil war survivor who has created a platform of commitment to educate and advocate on behalf of African children. He currently serves as District Director for Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr., of the 10th Congressional District of New Jersey.
Michael received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Seton Hall University and MBA in Technology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).
As a native of Liberia, Michael adopted an intrinsic passion for helping the children of Africa at an early age. As an advocate, musician, and political advisor, he has championed causes for the voiceless. As a youth, he learned to be a survivor, living through the Liberian Civil War he suffered and was separated from his parents, and eye-witnessed the murder of innocent civilians by the rebels.
Michael has provided nearly sixty-thousand dollars ($60,000) to assist disadvantaged students and their families with scholarships and medical supplies in Liberia.
Through grassroots initiatives this year, Save Our Nations, Inc. has provided 56 (fifty-six) scholarships, book bags with school supplies, and t-shirts to young students who have been orphaned by Ebola in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea. Food and medical supplies for the people in need and clinics of Liberia are now being gathered for shipment.
